Upcoming Ithaca City Cemetery Events
October is a great time to visit the Ithaca City Cemetery! On select Saturdays and Sundays this month, join us for guided history tours of the cemetery,
whose gravesites tell the story of Tompkins County families and whose very grounds show the evolution of cemetery design over the centuries. On the lighter side, run--or walk--the Cemetery Sprint on Saturday, October 27--in costume, if you dare.
On Saturday, 10/27, and Sunday, 10/28, take a guided tour that traces the cemetery's evolution from village burying ground to Victorian garden of the dead. Towering shade trees and hillside burial vaults add to the eerie atmosphere.
TOUR DATES AND TIMES:
Saturday, October 27 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 28 11:00 a.m.; 1:00 p.m.
Tour tickets are $9; $6 for seniors 65+ and Friends of Historic Ithaca. Kids 12 and under are free, but keep in mind that discussion of gruesome historic events may not be suitable for younger children.
Walk or run off those Halloween candy calories at the 5th Annual Ithaca City Cemetery Sprint

Bring your friends & family--special rate available for groups of 4 or more! All ages welcome.
