The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for the maintenance of the Village’s infrastructure as well as the day to day services such as: street repairs; drainage/water/sewer pipe repairs; garbage and brush pick-up; snow removal, etc..
DPW Staff
There is a full-time staff of eight men who work a regular schedule of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday. With the exception of the Director of Public Works, all of the DPW staff members are represented by Teamster’s Union Local 317. The following is a list of the staff and their positions:

The Fleet
The DPW facility is located at 123 Sheldon Road, where the fleet of equipment is stored and maintained by the staff. The facility includes 4 heated work bays, an office area, 4 cold storage bays, a salt storage building, and fuel tanks/pumps. The fleet includes:
(2) large dump trucks with snow plow/wing;
(2) small flat bed/dump trucks;
(2) pick-up trucks;
(2) garbage packers;
(1) backhoe;
(1) loader;
and many other specialty-type machinery.
