Water/Sewer Info

New to the Village or just have a question regarding your water/sewer bill? Well here is everything you need to know about the municipal water available in the Village of Cayuga Heights.

Your municipal water is provided to you by the company Bolton Point. All questions regarding water service issues, final readings, e-billing should be directed to the service desk at BP ((607)277-0660. Payment of your water/sewer bills is handled by the clerks office at Marcham Hall. Questions about how to pay, missed payments or checking on a payment can be directed to (607)257-1238.

How often and when are they due:

Water/sewer bills are sent out quarterly in February, May, August and November. You should receive an email notification (if you have signed up for e-billing) by the first and/or your paper bill in the mail shortly after the first. A note: Bolton Point has switched colors for the water/sewer bills in the Village. Instead of looking for a pink postcard sized bill, look for a yellow one. You have until the 20th of the month to pay your bill on-time. After the 20th a 10% penalty is added to your account. If you happen to miss a payment, no need to worry, you can make that payment with penalties included, to the clerks office at any time.

How/Where to Make a Payment:

Payments can be made by check, cash or card. Checks can be mailed to 836 Hanshaw Rd., dropped off in the drop box to the left of the front door or delivered in-person. You can pay online via credit card here from your own home, or you can pay by card over the phone or in-person as well. A credit card payment always has a 1.75% fee attached to it. We, unfortunately do not do automatic withdrawal from your bank account but you can pay with an e-check from your bank which is a flat rate fee instead of a percentage.

Keep info Up-to-date:

The Village Clerks office does their best to inform the residents of the current billing cycles and send out reminders as much as possible but some times there is still a break down in communication between BP the residents and the clerks office. Please make sure that your contact information is up-to-date in the Bolton Point records. If you need to make a change to your billing address please contact Bolton Point or use their on-line form for such purposes. If you are still experiencing issues with receiving a bill, we suggest that you sign up to receive both an e-bill and a hard copy in the mail. You can also set a reminder in your personal calendar.

E-billing:

If you do want to sign up for e-billing please understand that this is not for payment, it is simply for receiving your bill statement via email instead of snail mail. You still need to provide payment to the Village Clerk’s office. Also please note that it is very important that you follow all the direction for signing up for e-billing as it has several steps before it is complete. The key is to make sure you receive a verification email, verifying that you have signed up.
